Vehicle Description
Well Sorted, Very Clean, Rust Free, 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL with 96k Original Miles featured in beautiful Midnight Blue (904) with Parchment Leather Interior. Options include: white steering wheel with matching shift knob, original Becker stereo, matching body color hardtop, and dealer installed A/C. Drivetrain features the M130 2.8-liter SOHC inline-six engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Designed by Paul Bracq and debuting in 1963, 1971 was the last year of production of the iconic 113 Chassis roadster. It was the first sports car with a "safety body," designed by Béla Barényi, featuring a rigid passenger cell and crumple zones. This "Pagoda" was originally delivered new in California and remained there until we acquired it for its most recent owner in 2016. We fully sorted this vehicle when acquired and it has been part of a significant local collection with 800 miles put on it over the last 10 years. Service is up to date. Sale includes service records from EAS and California, original books, 2-keys, and original tool kit. Buy this timeless classic with confidence with a 30-Day EAS Mechanical Warranty included with the acquisition!
