1988 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL coupe

Single Family Owned, Very Clean, 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL with 77k miles, featured in Black (040) with Grey Leather Interior. Options include limited-slip differential, black soft top, removable hardtop, silver-finished 15" Gullideckel alloy wheels, fog lights, a Becker AM/FM/cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. We recently purchased this from the original owner's Estate in Connecticut where it was garaged since new. Service records are extensive since new. We recently ran it through our shop to get it ready for the open road including a new soft top and four new tires. The 5.5-liter V8 is factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. 

When Mercedes redesigned its famed SL in 1971, there was a lot of equity behind it - after all, when the incomparable 300SL Coupe and Roadster were built fewer than 20 years before, they set the world on fire. In 1963, the next-generation 230/250/280SL brought Mercedes' sports car down to earth, replacing both the incredible 300SL and four-cylinder 190SL with the utmost of refinement, quality, and confidence. For the next SL, the R107, Mercedes utilized the mid-size W114/115 chassis, combined with powerful engines from the large W116 S-Class, all wrapped in a sharply styled two-seat roadster body, creating a luxurious V-8 Convertible. It became the second longest running passenger production car series ever produced by Mercedes, an icon of its generation. Its final iteration was the powerful 560SL and it remains the most coveted and collected.
