Vehicle Description
Rust Free, Very Clean, 1970 BMW 2002 survivor featured in rare Colorado Orange (002) with Black Skai vinyl interior. Drivetrain is powered by the matching-numbers 2.0-liter M10 inline-4 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Options include: working factory sunroof, strut tower bar, front wheel disk brakes, reclining front seats, and foglights. Recent work includes replacement of the fuel pump, starter, and radiator. Originally delivered new in California, it remained a West Coast car until 1997 when it made its way to Maryland. The body is rust free, brightwork is holding up well, and the all original interior has no dash cracks.
In 1968, legendary automotive writer Davis E. Davis quipped "The BMW 2002 may be the first car in history to successfully bridge the gap between the diametrically-opposed automotive requirements of the wildly romantic car nut, on one hand, and the hyperpragmatic people at Consumer Reports on the other."
Sale includes service documents since new. Buy this fabulous "small bumper roundie" survivor with confidence with a 30-Day EAS Mechanical warranty!
